Profile:
Stuart is a partner and Head of the Commercial Litigation and Property Litigation Department in Preston. He joined the firm as a partner in December 2008 from a Manchester-based law Firm. He is a commercial contract specialist capable of addressing with a wide range of contractual disputes for commercial clients, whether by arbitration, mediation or litigation through the courts and the lands tribunal. Stuart has a particular interest in the liquid petroleum gas industry having represented a major player in the industry for a number of years. He has also acted for a number of principal dealers and retailers in contractual disputes with their suppliers. Stuart is also a property litigation specialist capable of dealing with most property disputes, whether they arise out of property transactions or rights pertaining to land. He also covers any disputes arising out of the Landlord and Tenant relationship. He has also previously acted for a number of major lending institutions regarding their secured lending and recovery of funds for them, included pursuing their previous advisers when they had failed to address the issues appropriately. Stuart is a long standing member of the Property Litigation Association and is recognised as a specialist in that field.
