Profile: Nik has been with the firm since 1995, during which time he has amassed a wealth of experience on a broad range of general commercial/lP/lT matters across a number of sectors, qualifying in 1997 and as a partner since 2002. He heads up the Commercial Team in the firm's Liverpool office. He has broad experience in a wide range of commercial law and, together with his team, provides advice in relation to commercial contract matters (including purchasing/supply, manufacturing, outsourcing, distribution, agency, franchising, collaboration/joint venture and other trading agreements); general commercial/business advice (including data protection, procurement, competition law and marketing/advertising law and regulations); identification, protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights; development, supply, licensing, distribution, support, maintenance and outsourcing arrangements relating to software and hardware and also e-commerce/website related matters. Nik is a member of the Society for Computers and Law and recognised as a software games industry specialist. He is also recognised as a leading individual in his areas of expertise by the Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories, in which he is quoted as being 'very commercial and highlights key issues well', he is 'approachable and professional' and 'often points out angles you wouldn't think of'.
