Profile:
Mike is a corporate lawyer with specialist knowledge and experience of sports and media law; he advises on significant acquisitions and disposals but regularly deals with the exploitation of individual and brand rights and content in traditional and new media. He is founder, director and legal advisor to aAim Group Plc a property advisory and fund management business, whose group of companies has completed commercial property deals in excess of Ä1billion Euros in the last two years with the private equity investment of many high profile contacts and clients. He was lead advisor with Jason Smith for Manchester United plc on its ground breaking £302 million sale of its merchandising business and sponsorship deal with Nike Inc. He advises various FA Premier League clubs on the sale and distribution of domestic and international television, radio, internet, mobile and video rights. He also advises rugby and football clubs, players and player representatives on the commercial exploitation of image rights.
