Profile: Matt Brown has been with the firm since 2006 having spent six years at a major national firm in London where he trained and qualified into their intellectual property department in 2002. Matt has considerable experience in a wide range of commercial transactions and has particular expertise in relation to the exploitation of intellectual property including patent, software and trade mark licences, research and development agreements and other collaborative arrangements relating to the creation and deployment of intellectual property. Matt has a scientific background with a degree in biochemistry which assists him to quickly gain an understanding of the technology and provide pragmatic commercial advice. Matt has experience prosecuting patent, trade mark and registered designs applications and in addition regularly advises upon general commercial matters including standard terms and conditions of business, manufacturing, supply, distribution and agency arrangements and agreements for the hire of third party consultants and temporary workers.
