Profile:
Jeff is a Partner in the Litigation department and has acted for a number of household names in a wide variety of commercial disputes. He has extensive experience in claims for breach of contract and professional negligence. He works closely with the Employment team in relation to litigation arising out of employment contracts.
He also specialises in all areas of Property Litigation and was involved in one of the leading cases on dilapidations. Jeff also has a wide experience of acting in disputes in the financial services industry and has considerable experience of litigating disputes within the sporting industry.
In addition to this Jeff is an accredited mediator with both the CEDR and ADR Groups. He has been admitted to a number of mediation panels and regularly receives mediation referrals from a variety of sources, including a large number of repeat clients.
Jeff also sits as a Deputy District Judge. He also holds Higher Rights of Audience in civil cases. He has been listed as a Leading Individual for a number of years in both Chambers and the Legal 500 Guides to the Legal Profession.
Jeff is currently President of Manchester Law Society. He has been a member of its Council since 1999 and for seven years chaired its Civil Litigation Committee.
