Profile:
Claire heads the firm's Environment and Regulatory practice and specialises in UK and EU Environmental Law from energy projects (wind, coal, gas), renewables, emissions trading and emissions control through to Environmental Permitting and PPC, water and wastes management, producer responsibility, contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment as well as general environmental enforcement and regulatory advice. Claire advises on a wide range of regulatory matters, in the fields of health and safety, environmental enforcement, product safety and food safety. Claire has experience of advising clients in the immediate aftermath of serious incidents, including internal investigations and discussions with the regulator. Following those initial stages, she has dealt with all interim steps between such occurrences and any eventual prosecution brought by the Crown Prosecution Service, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency and local authorities, including preparation for and attendance at PACE interviews.
