14/04/2008

Warrington-based computer components supplier ServiceSource Europe is relocating and set for future expansion following a management buyout.

The firm, which predominantly supplies spare parts for laptops, desktops and servers across Europe, had been acquired in 2005 by Californian company Solectron, which was then bought by global electronics manufacturer Flextronics last year.

The management team at ServiceSource involved in the buyout includes George Buchan, Mark Hesketh and James Bruce.

Managing director George Buchan said: `We look forward to continuing success supplying high quality businesses across Europe in a sector which we know well.

`Coinciding with the new ownership, our relocation from Stretton Green Distribution Centre in Appleton to new premises in Birchwood provides the firm with room to expand.î

ServiceSource`s management team was advised on its buyout by a team of lawyers at Manchester-based Brabners Chaffe Street, which included Mark Brandwood and Jamie Partridge.

Paul Nicholls of the law firm`s property team advised ServiceSource on its relocation to new 33,960 sq ft premises at Axis, Leacroft Road, Birchwood.

Mark Brandwood, a partner with Brabners Chaffe Street, said: `Under its new ownership, ServiceSource is set for a positive future and will remain a leading supplier across Europe.î

ServiceSource, which now employs 90 at its new base, was established in 1987 as Delostar Electronics, principally acting as a broker of computer spares.

Brian Higgins of Rickett Mitchell & Partners Ltd provided the management team with corporate finance advice, whilst London law firm Speechly Bircham LLP acted for Flextronics.
