Key appointment strengthens corporate team

Leading North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has appointed corporate lawyer Gill Gardner as a Partner in its expanding corporate team.

A skilled corporate finance lawyer with over 20 years experience, Gill joins the firm from Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand where she headed up its corporate department. She has specialist expertise in advising on mergers and acquisitions, all aspects of bank and venture capital financing and issues relating to organising company structures and shareholdings. Gill has recently been involved in a number of demerger and management buy outs of SMEs and owner managed businesses.

Previously Gill practiced in the City, specialising in venture capital and corporate finance work and spent time working in Sydney for one of Australia's top two law firms.

Gill has a keen interest in supporting the local community as a director of the Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce and a Council Member of Lancaster University.

She joins a corporate team comprising in excess of 40 lawyers across Brabners Chaffe Street's Liverpool, Manchester and Preston offices. The firm is now ranked as one of the top five most active corporate practices in the North West and the largest locally-based corporate legal team.
