Cooke Fuel Cards

The Manchester corporate team of leading law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has advised the shareholders of Cooke Holdings Limited on the sale of its fuel cards business to DCC plc, the support services group for £9.5m, net of average cash acquired.

Cooke Fuel Cards, based in Burnley, Lancashire, sells approximately 105 million litres of motor fuel per annum through its fuel cards, which it markets under a number of leading brands (including BP, Shell, Diesel Direct and Texaco). It has approximately 5,000 customers operating commercial vehicle fleets.

The business will be integrated with DCC Energy's existing fuel card business, Fuel Card Services Limited.

The advisory team at Brabners Chaffe Street was headed by Mark Brandwood and assisted by Ruth Powell.
