Brabners' employment expertise secures British Chambers of Commerce brief
10/08/2009North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has been appointed by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) to provide ongoing consultancy on key employment law issues.
The appointment will also see the firm's leading employment partners, Paul Chamberlain and Simon Whitehead, help the BCC answer questions on the Equality Bill at a seminar at the House of Lords in November 2009.
The firm was appointed by the BCC due to its long-term expertise and experience in acting for business networks. Brabners has worked with The Employment Agents' Movement (TEAM), one of the largest independent networked groups of recruitment and employment service providers in the UK for the past decade. Paul Chamberlain, partner and employment specialist, who will head the Brabners team is a nationally recognised expert in recruitment legislation, most recently providing legal guidance to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC) Commission in respect of the EU Agency Workers' Directive.
“The BCC is the Ultimate Business Network - each Chamber sits at the very heart of the local business community, so its advice and guidance is highly respected,” said Paul Chamberlain, partner, Brabners Chaffe Street. “We're honoured to be working at such a high level with the organisation.”
“Brabners Chaffe Street not only has the in-depth industry knowledge to provide us and our members with expert legal advice, but additionally the team has built up an extensive knowledge of what business networks need in terms of guidance and effective recommendations,” said Dr Adam Marshall, director of policy, BCC. “This will be essential for our ongoing relationship, as well as for key events such as the House of Lords seminar.”
