Brabners Chaffe Street team helps Helicentre Liverpool reach for the skies

The Liverpool office of leading law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has advised a consortium of buyers on its acquisition of Helicentre Liverpool - the leading helicopter flight training school based at John Lennon Airport.

The facility, established in 1995, provides a range of private, commercial and flight instructor training courses as well as charter services.

It trains over 100 students each year, boasting a 100 per cent pass rate for its commercial pilot licence.

Following the transaction, Captain Jon Rayner will become managing director and Captain Guy Cowper sales and marketing director.

The deal represents the latest in a series of transactions handled by the Corporate team at Brabners Chaffe Street, which has offices in Liverpool, Preston and Manchester. According to Corpfin data for the nine months to September, the firm has advised on 13 transactions this year worth an aggregate £68m, making it the 4th most active law firm in the North West.
