Brabners Chaffe Street advises on major new football tournament

The Sports team at leading North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has advised Endemol Sport Iconic on the launch of a major new football tournament in Ireland.

Endemol Sport Iconic and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) have entered a ten year partnership which will see the launch of a major new football tournament worth over 7 figures annually. Endemol Sport has formed the new venture with leading sports agency Iconic to manage, produce and commercialise major sporting events for the FAI.

An annual pre season club tournament will take place at Aviva Stadium, Dublin, starting for the first time on July 30/31 2011. UEFA Champions League winners, Inter Milan have been confirmed as the first club to take part in the tournament and more top European club sides will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Endemol Sport will manage all commercial rights around the tournament including media across all platforms internationally. As part of the agreement, Endemol Sport Iconic will also sponsor and promote the FAI emerging talent programme which operates at twelve centres in Ireland.
