Brabners Chaffe Street advises on healthy client deal
1/04/2010

Brabners Chaffe Street has advised a long-standing client, property developer Charter Medical, on its £6.9 million disposal of its Leigh Health Park medical portfolio.

Cheshire-based Charter Medical has sold the completed medical centre development and pharmacy, which is currently let to Ashton, Leigh and Wigan Primary Care Trust, to Primary Health Properties PLC in order to release value for investment in its other developments in the North West and North Wales.

A team of lawyers from Brabners Chaffe Street`s Liverpool office advised on the sale, including Rupert Gill from the firm`s corporate team and property specialist Rupert Jackson.

Rupert Jackson said: "This strategic disposal will enable management to focus on continuing to establish key developments in the region which attract high-calibre PCT clients".

"It is also the latest in a long-line of deals where our team has drawn on a number of areas of expertise to advise a long-standing client."

The disposal follows a successful year for the law firm`s corporate practice, which operates across Liverpool, Manchester and Preston. It collectively advised on 18 transactions in 2009, placing it amongst the region`s top five most active corporate practices (Source: Corpfin).
