Agency workers' rights on the agenda for Paul
28/05/2008A Manchester lawyer has been handed a key role in one of the country's largest gatherings of temporary recruiters.
Paul Chamberlain, a Partner at Brabners Chaffe Street, will join a panel of professionals at the REC Agency Summit in London on June 2.
The event comes in the wake of the government's recent announcement on increased rights for agency workers and is organised by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation.
Joining Paul on the panel to discuss the practical implications of the equal treatment regulations will be three top recruitment professionals from across the country.
Paul says: “I'm delighted to have been invited to the summit and I'm looking forward to examining the potential impact of the new regulations, particularly in light of current developments in the agency sector.
“Right now, there is real media and political focus on the issue of temporary workers and the summit comes just days before a possible agreement on the EU Agency Workers' Directive.”
