3/06/2009

Leading law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has further extended its client base in the recruitment sector through its appointment by the Association of Labour Providers (ALP).

Founded in 2004, the ALP is the specialist trade association for organisations that provide temporary, contract and seasonal workers within the food, agricultural and other GLA regulated sectors. The organisation works to influence government and regulatory policy and provides a range of information and guidance-based advice for its 200+ members across the UK.

Paul Chamberlain, partner and employment specialist, heads the Brabners Chaffe Street team, and is a nationally recognised expert in recruitment legislation. Paul also acts for TEAM, one of the largest independent networked groups of recruitment and employment service providers in the UK, and also provided legal guidance to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation`s (REC) Commission in respect of the EU Agency Workers` Directive.

"Brabners Chaffe Street`s team has a great depth of knowledge in our specific sector of temporary and seasonal worker recruitment, which is complemented by the firm`s commitment to providing partner-led, innovative and insightful advice," said David Camp, director of the ALP. "This enables us to work in partnership with Paul and his team, which allows us to be more productive and proactive together for the progression of the organisation and our member companies."

"The legislation surrounding temporary and seasonal workers is currently undergoing major changes, so it`s critical that the ALP has the best possible view so they can advise members correctly on specific issues," said Paul Chamberlain, partner and head of employment at Brabners Chaffe Street. "The association plays a vital role in protecting its members` interests, and will continue to provide efficient support and proactive guidance to firms across the country."
