Preston solicitors take the lead

Leading law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has announced the promotion of two solicitors in its Preston office.

Environmental lawyer Simon Colvin and Colin Fenny from the litigation team have both become associate partners.

They are among 14 promotions across the firm`s three offices in the region.

Brabners Chaffe Street now employs a total of 135 lawyers in Preston, Liverpool and Manchester with that number set to rise above 150 thanks to expansion plans outlined in March.

An extra 18 posts are being created to help service clients across the firm`s employment, corporate, private client, property and litigation divisions.

That growth comes on the back of a successful last 12 months for the firm which saw a record-breaking 20 per cent leap in fee income.

Managing Partner Michael Brabner said the promotions reflected the growing level of expertise within the firm. `We have a proven blend of experience and dynamic, young talent in all departments across our three offices. We are confident further progress is on the cards.î

The move is a further indication of Brabners Chaffe Street`s growth. Its last full set of financial figures, released last year, showed fee income rising by 20 per cent from £17.5million to £21million.
