Platts Harris Limited acquires Golf and Turf Machinery

Leading North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has advised Platts Harris Limited, which is part of Lookers plc, on the acquisition of the business and assets of Golf and Turf Machinery.

Platts Harris Limited's main activities are the sales, service and parts supply of agricultural, construction and groundcare machinery, covering the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, part of South Yorkshire and West Lincolnshire. The management team is made up of Simon Wilson, Ken Holmes and Kevin Petley.

The company is a subsidiary of Lookers plc who had a turnover in 2010 of approximately £2 billion and pre-tax profits of over £33 million.

Golf & Turf Machinery, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, will continue to provide sales, spare parts, service and hire of groundcare machinery to professional users in the counties of North, South and West Yorkshire.

The legal team at Brabners Chaffe Street was led by Corporate Associate Mark Traynor and also included Property Partner Matthew Dobson. Sascha Kripgans of SHK Solicitors advised Golf and Turf Machinery.
