Manchester lawyers advise on cash generator deal
14/04/2008A team of lawyers at Manchester law firm Brabners Chaffe Street advised shareholders in Cash Generator Ltd on their sale to a group of investors.
The deal saw Cash Generator`s founder Brian Lewis and the three other shareholders sell their part in the business, but remain part of the management structure.
Cash Generator is the most successful ëbuy and sell` group in the UK, with one of the largest non-food turnovers per square foot.
Robert Street, a corporate partner at Brabners Chaffe Street, and assistant David Eames, advised the vendors.
Cash Generator Ltd operates 13 stores itself, and more than 60 franchises of the firm have established across the UK.
Its main services include offering cash for goods, cashing cheques and pawnbroking.
Other advisors on the deal included Halliwells, who acted for the investors.
