Liverpool law firm advises on management buy-out of medical communications firm
5/03/2008Andrew O`Mahony, a corporate lawyer at Brabners Chaffe Street, advised the Co-operative Bank on its funding of a management buy-out of medical communication firm Fishawack.
Advice to the bank on the £5.86 million deal was wrapped up in three weeks and marks a positive sign that banks are once again looking positively towards acquisition finance.
Andrew O`Mahony, a partner based at Brabners Chaffe Street`s Horton House office in Liverpool, said: `For some time, it seems that banks have had a predilection towards finance for property deals, so this MBO is a positive sign that focus is shifting.

The Fishawack Group comprises design, communications and event management subsidiaries providing support to the medical industry.
Its clients include some of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry such as GlaxoSmithkline, Roche and AstraZenica, and the firm has offices in Knutsford, Cheshire, and Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
