Brabners Chaffe Street hosts flotation seminar with London Stock Exchange
18/03/2010Brabners Chaffe Street has joined forces with the London Stock Exchange and Technium OpTIC to host a free seminar in North Wales for businesses that are considering flotation on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
The event is being held on Friday 26 March at Technium OpTIC`s Opto-electronics Technology and Incubation Centre, a specialist innovation centre based at St Asaph Business Park.
A panel of experts from Brabners Chaffe Street and the London Stock Exchange will discuss the key issues of floating on the AIM market and how flotation can help fast growing and entrepreneurial companies raise funds for expansion.
David Bowcock, Partner at Brabners Chaffe Street in Manchester, said: "Even if a business is suited to flotation, there are number of key advantages and disadvantages to weigh up. For instance there are additional benefits to a stock market float besides raising funds, as being a publicly quoted company can provide customers and suppliers with added reassurance.
"Those attending this seminar, whether it is as a stakeholder or director of a company, will find out the exact mechanics behind the flotation process and what is required. We hope to help attendees make a well-informed decision that will be in the best interests of their company going forward."
As well as hearing from the advisors involved in a flotation, the seminar will feature two directors from Cheshire-based companies who will discuss their own AIM experiences.
