Brabners assists in the growth of Freight Shipment Company

A Manchester firm handling worldwide freight shipments has grown with the takeover of another North West haulier.

The Cargo Overseas Group, which has its head office at Manchester Airport`s World Freight Terminal, acquired Lancashire-based RSR Freight Services Limited.

Cargo Overseas handles millions of tons of freight via sea, air and road each year.

Since being founded in 1990, the company has developed an extensive network of operations, including the handling of routine and specialist freight to the US, Russia and Siberia, South America, South Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.

Company director Philip Curran oversaw the RSR Freight acquisition.

Corporate partner Ruth Jones, employment associate Lindsey Bell and corporate solicitor Simon Lewis from Brabners Chaffe Street in Manchester acted on behalf of the Group`s parent company, Venture Asset Management.
